Blog sponsors.

November 14, 2013 § 1 Comment

One way to make money blogging, aside from using ads or being an affiliate, is to get a blog sponsor…or several.

A sponsor will pay you money to either write the content you’re already writing, or write content that will complement and/or help them sell more products or services—all depending on the deal you work out with your sponsor(s).

So how can you attract and get blog sponsors?

It’s a good idea to start by letting people know you’re interesting in having blog sponsor(s), so maybe add a tab/page to your blog telling potential sponsors how they can reach you.

Consider putting together packages that sponsors can purchase right from your blog using Paypal. You could have one package that says how many blog entries, mentions, etc., or several different packages.

While some sponsors might come to you, many will not, so you’ll need to approach them.

Start by writing a blog post saying you’re looking for sponsors—it’s a no brainer, but people forget to do it.

Next, make a list of people or businesses that you think would benefit from your blog and shoot them an email. It can be hit or miss, but you never know until you try.

Once you start getting sponsors, make sure you follow through on your promises, and do everything you can (while still maintaining the integrity of your blog) to make sure they benefit from sponsoring you.
